6.5 SUMMARY

In conclusion, the significance of the study needs to be outlined clearly by identifying the stakeholders who will benefit from our study and logically explaining how they will benefit from our study. Basically, our proposed study may have two types of significance or impacts, namely theoretical significance which is related to the explanation of how the proposed study will expand or add to the body of knowledge, and practical significance which refers to the explanation of how our proposed study will help improve the current conditions or practices for society at large. In order to write the significance of the study, we need to use direct and unambiguous sentences. As for the significance in a proposal, we should use simple present tense because the study has not been conducted.
